Re: VAR
This is a systemic problem so it doesn’t matter who they appoint really. If the club hasn’t already sent a dossier to the FA highlighting inconsistencies in the application of the rules and the fact that there seems to be a concerted effort by PGMOL to make an example of us, then it is failing in its fundamental duty. The FA and PGMOL don’t have the budget for legal wrangling and I hope one day someone musters the courage and drags one of them to court.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 11:37 amJohn Brooks has been appointed to officiate Arsenal’s away Premier League tie against Newcastle on Saturday with self-confessed Liverpool fan Jarred Gillett on VAR.

Re: VAR
Apparently this is Gilletts 4th time out of 10 games to be involved in our games

Further proof, if any was needed.

They have had the monopoly on broadcasting the PL since day one. Except for the likes of BT/TNT and Amazon getting the crumbs, They have a product to sell and will protect that at all cost. They know what's going, they can't not having been the monopoly broadcaster for over 20 years.
I'm sure I read an article once that without PL football Sly would go out of business. Subscribers would follow the football, not loyalty to Sly. You don't need to subscribe for films there's plenty of subscription services for that. They need to have the PL and will not say anything out of turn that could possibly jeopardise that. They will protect their market dominance.
It's interesting that old hairy hands, who Sly sacked, is happy to start calling this out. I reckon he knows what's going on and that Sly are involved and is waiting for an opportunity to fuck them over.
And then there's the government involvement to maintain trade with the Middle East. The foreign minister got involved in the Newcastle sale to the head choppers. They will also put pressure on to protect Cheaty's 115 punishment.
The whole thing is fucked.

Next in the list is Newcastle with 3 , then Bournemouth and Fulham with 2 each 9 others just once.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 1:52 pmApparently this is Gilletts 4th time out of 10 games to be involved in our games

Re: VAR
Absolutely right, Nick Nack. That fucking bunch of corrupt cowboys know what's going on and toe whatever line they need to not to fall out of favour with the Premier League. They were told last season not to be critical of decisions or referees otherwise there would be consequences for their broadcasting rights. They've also had far too much say in the league for years, basically supporting Manure because they knew that was good for the global 'brand' and the Premier League knew that they helped make them lots of money. Never forget that the company tried to purchase the club in the late 90s.Nick Nack wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 1:52 pmLet's not beat around the bush here (oo er missusPerryashburtongroves wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 9:46 amCompare all the whinging and moaning about relegation candidates Manure having a penalty given against them yesterday with Saliba's sending off last week. The constant "this is great for the game" bollox when it came to the chavs money and then cheaty and now the choppers, is fucking pathetic. As you say, they have been the major broadcaster since the start and need to do all they can to keep the money rolling in- fixing the fixtures list, controlling the narrative, crushing any criticism, pushing agendas and there's nothing anyone can do about it because they have such limited choice.
You're right about their finances, take away the football and they're done. Nobody actually likes them and that's why so many watch on legally grey streams. It's been mentioned for years that one of the new broadcasters will come in to buy the rights but the fact that people like Netflix and Amazon or Google or even someone like Tesla haven't done it, tells you everything- they know they haven't got a chance because the deals and fixes are in and he who controls the narrative, controls the truth. As they, the truth goes where the money goes and where the money is, is in Asia and that's Chinese betting syndicates and human rights abusing oil states.

Remember, we’ve had players sent off for much less than what Van Dijk did against Havertz

Guaranteed at least one goal ruled out wrongly or a player sent off for nothing, all initiated by VAR.

Re: VAR
The chances of it being down to pure random selection that Gillette keeps getting so many of our games are less than 0.01%.
I suppose we’re just unlucky and definitely not being targeted here. Everything is fine.

Re: VAR
They're not even bothering now to even pretend. They are consistently appointing officials that have a clear and obvious bias against us because they are the most reliable at getting the results that they want. Wouldn't happen to any other team.rodders999 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 8:00 amThe chances of it being down to pure random selection that Gillette keeps getting so many of our games are less than 0.01%.

Re: VAR
Gillett is a Liverpool fan and isn’t allowed to be involved in any of their games.
No such issues having him officiate 40 fucking percent of one of their title rivals games though.
That all seems above board to me.
