Bendtner is apalling
Bendtner is apalling
although there is certainly a general malaise about the squad at the moment, Nicklas Bendtner is driving me bloody crazy. yes I know that our midfield is shocking and he isnt recieving the service that Arsenal strikers of previous Wenger years have recieved but that is no excuse to be such a lazy, casual, moody crunt.
Its pathetic, he doesn't run, he jogs or walks. A player with such little natural pace should surely need to be extra energetic, constantly on the move to keep the opposition defence on their toes. Hes hardly berbatov who seems lazy but always manages to be in the right position or plays the right pass.
His body language is awful, every time his flick on or poor pass finds an opposition defender (ie ALL the bloody time) we get treated to the 'bendtner special' a kind of languid shrug combined with an instant slowing of pace to a standstill as he watches the opposition side counter attack - i seem to remember having it drilled into me that if you give the ball away, you must at least look to close the man down, make an effort to get it back.
The thing is i really do not doubt that he has ability, last season i thought he did pretty well with the opportunities that came his way, scored some useful goals and seemed to fit in with the all round play well. Now, when the ball comes his way, it just bounces off him or if an important chance comes he wastes it or isnt in the right position (see laziness, above). Eduardo cant come back soon enough and i never thought id say this but we really miss greedybayor. Bendtner needs a kick up the arse from a Keane/ Adams style skipper - those men would NEVER have let such an unfounded prima donna attitude hang around in any team they were part of for long

However I draw the line with players with zero ability and zero work rate. Step forward the most useless plank i've ever seen - Nicklas Bendtner.
how dare you call an elephant a plank !!!!
