Sorry about the footy thread!

I am not sure we should read too much into the judgements of a Blackburn Reserves right back!Lethal wrote:http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 62,00.html
seems there is not a lot of respect for walcott around the footballing world
I always feel that players that come out with statements like that are setting themselves up for a fall.Lethal wrote:http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 62,00.html

Theo is not rubbish.Lethal wrote:oh come on,the boy is fucking rubbish
anyone can see it,hes got pace and nothing else
he cant finish, hes got the touch of a adebayor,no variety in his play
hes a supersub and that will always be his best position at a club like arsenal
Reckon your spot on there mate, I would extend that by saying Pennant is a better player, at least he gets his head up to cross a ball.Lethal wrote:oh come on,the boy is fucking rubbish

i agree about the squad being better with him in it,i remember several times in the 07/08 season him coming on to win a game for us (bolton 2-0,sunderland 3-2)g88ner wrote:Theo is not rubbish.Lethal wrote:oh come on,the boy is fucking rubbish

He's a young lad who is developing in much the same way as Bendtner, Song and Denilson; they're capable of good performances, and utter muck.
A few months back, Wenger (talking about Bendtner) said that a player who misses chances at 20, will score those same chances at 22... and I think that's a point we shouldn't forget... that these lads are still developing and they will improve over the coming seasons.
Not all young players develop as quickly as Cesc, Pato, Messi and Rooney. Most take time, and Theo is in the latter category with most young players.
Theo offers Arsenal variation, and I genuinely believe our squad is better with him than without.
