That doesn't prove a bloody thing and I can't see how you think it does.hadareud wrote:not that I care.
But it proves that we're not inactive in the transfer market. Hill-Wood also said that Wenger wants to sign another 2 players.
edit: Zidane is Wenger's mate? Didn't know that.
and some mate Zidane turned out to be. Blabbing all about his friends transfer targets.

Vintage PHW this morning -
"Arsene is talking about adding one or two to the squad and there is a certain amount of money he has to spend. If Arsene wanted to buy a decent player he could, as long as the figure was not ridiculous"
Giving with one hand and taking away with the other. Yes Arsene you can sign players but just not any that might cost over £750,000. While you and I would consider 30/40 million on a player "ridiculous" whats the betting PHW thinks it's 15???

It doesn't prove anything because it is just a press quote attributed to Zidane. Zidane himself has not been publicly recorded saying this in an open arena.hadareud wrote:how does it not prove it?SPUDMASHER wrote:That doesn't prove a bloody thing and I can't see how you think it does.hadareud wrote:not that I care.

If the story is true and the bid was turned down by Huntelaar it is very depressing.
I always thought we´d have a good chance of signing Huntelaar, even before he went to Madrid, because I read somewhere that DB10 is his role model. That raised my hopes DB10 could impinge on him to follow in his footsteps at AFC.
