Not least because Gooner-Ed - Sorry Kev !

So I waited until 3.00 pm and then.......'sod it !'......off we go.
So I got the train, which 'inched' it's way to Finsbury Park. Got there - at 5.30 pm - ; thought it looked a bit deserted; questioned to local plod - and sure enough, game canceled at 3.30 pm.

On the train back - my mind drifted to the back cover of 'One Nil Down - Two One Up', The Gooners embryonic rival, 20 years or more back.
When the old North Bank Terrace was demolished in the wake of the Taylor Report, there was a lot of hostility from the fans, directed in no small measure at our old 'Mate' David Dein, who was seen as the instigator of all this. (He wasn't; but that's by-the-by.)
This was in 1992/93, with the construction of the North Bank Stand.
When the 'Stand' was opened, One Nil Down Two One Up ran a Private Eye style spoof back cover, with The Duke Of Kent and our then - and now - illustrious Chairman, Hill-Wood together at the opening.
Kent :- "I say Hill-Wood, where are the toilets in this new Gaff ?"
Y
H-W:- "Oh don't worry about that Your Highness, just piss on the Fans like we do."
How nice to know that inspite of the passage of 16 plus years, some things don't change !
