Weird Arsenal Related Dreams

Post by I Hate Hleb »

I had one this morning and it's very rare for me to remember them usually.

Anyway, I must have been an Arsenal player because I was at training along with the rest of the lads, when Wenger came into the room and said something. I then made an innocuous quip (can't recall what it was but it definitely wasn't rude or insulting) and Wenger says to me something like: "That's why your probably not going to make it here. You've got a smart mouth!! I'm seriously thinking of letting you go."

Now me and the rest of the players were in total shock as to what brought about this unusual outburst and I was thinking to myself: shit. I've blown all chances of continuing my dream - playing at Arsenal - and all because of a stupid joke.

I went through the events dozens of times and couldn't quite get my head around why Arsene had over-reacted to such a standard joke. I spent the night and the next morning wondering whether it was worth me going into training, but decided to do so - if only to apologise and explain to Wenger that I accepted his decision but I wanted him to know that I didn't mean to upset him.

Anyway, I went to his office and found him laying on a couch with a towel over his face. Before I could open get the words out, Arsene says (and I'm paraphrasing coz my memory ain't what it used to be  ): "Ah Tony. I was hoping to see you today. I just want to apologise for what I said to you yesterday. Of course I didn't mean it. I was feeling a little upset over something else and wrongly took it out on you." 8) Then I woke up!! 8)

At least you woke up mate. Apparently if Wenger sacks you during a dream you die (according to urban legend) :?

I've always believed that it's because I smoke so much gear that I rarely remember my dreams. So if I took your advice, I'd have even funkier dreams, and much more often! :? :?

The pressures of modern day football is clearly affecting AW both on the field & off it. Seriously, the man will explode if he's snapping in peoples dreams now as well!

At Least it wasn't one of those repetitive dreams....you know whereby he claims this is the best squad and despite the money doesn't invest and each year the team fails towards the end...etc...

I have had a few Arsenal dreams where I dream the score of a match, we always win, but they are never right.

Wishful thinking.

I had a dream recently that I was trying to get to Highbury for a big game but everything I tried to do to get there failed.

Why it was Highbury and not the Grove I don't know, I imagine my sub-consious hasn't yet accepted the move.
