Following the relaxation of the financial fair play - I Don't see how we can ever truly compete with Celery and City ( let alone Barca, Madrid, PSG & Munich) without being bankrolled.
The ploy of stockpiling cash, while waiting for the crazy, dizzying pieces to drop and top clubs going bankrupt doesn't look likely to come good
( I got grade B, O' level economics)
So we either accept being also-rans, or we have the backing of a financial powerhouse to put us on equal terms.
We are already owned by a billionaire, just one who doesn't' invest in the team, so having an owner who is willing to put his money where his mouth is, in my book, would be a forward step.
Out of Usmanov or Dangote I have no idea which would be the better option but either could stop us treading water under silent Stan and his £3m consultancy fees.
Btw, it was reported on the BBC world news last night ( I am currently in Sorrento on bikini watch)
