What you must remember about Myles Palmer is that he is a journalist. I find it fascinating to read a journalist unedited by a sub editor somewhere. This means you get some great writing and some absolute dross.
Remember because he is a journo when Arsenal do well he is a big fan, but when they are ...

I agree with the setiments in the article - if Gallas is untouchable this season then we are in trouble because he is not in form particularly against crosses/set pieces. He is great in open field play but I believe any younger player making those sorts of errors we have seen this season would mean ...

At least with Boris I do believe he has London and Londoners best interests at heart and so he has a fighting chance.
I think like all politicians, Boris has the best interests of Boris at heart. Id Cameron wins the next election as looks likely right now, then he will get credit for having ...

The failure against Hull was one of the strikers - van Persie does not play that well as a second striker - he plays well for Holland wide right but Wenger appears incapable of playing him there. With RvP wide right and Theo wide left and either Vela or Eduardo playing with either Bendtner or ...

New chant for Eboue:

Eboue whoooo
Eboue whooo
He likes to take a dive
Lets give him nine point five

I thought this would be good for when he falls over and wins a penalty.
The last line could be substituted with
Lets give him two point five
When he acts like a tit. It might encourage him to stop ...

Later on it was changed about the mid seventies to :
We all follow the Arsenal and the and Leicester bit was left as a joke since by then they were beginning a long slide into crapness.

Thats what I always thought anyway.

I am afraid as far as I know this is a reference to a sixties and seventies chant that started:
We hate Nottingham Forest
and went on as far as I remember:
We hate Tottenham too

then the ...and Leicester bit was added
(their fans were pyschos back in the day)
finshing with
We hate Manchester ...

Well it was a provocative post and I am very interested to see the reaction to what I said and what I didn't say.
For instance can you show me where I said we are 'on fire' or claiming we have won anything other than two away games and a draw somewhere we haven't shone in the past even with a top ...

It's all gone quiet over there...

Just a post to wonder what the 'doom and gloom' merchants of a couple of weeks ago think of Arsene Wenger now? Should he have splashed the cash like Spuds or spent 30 million on a hard working top notch player like Berbatov (didn't he shine against Chelski?). Well the collective sum of their points ...

I am not saying Davies's tackle was a great one but it wasn't a horror show either. Trailing legs catch people all the time as the player making the tackle is rightfully watching the ball and does not know what way the player being tackled will move.
To my mind this was nothing more than a ...

As I said a couple of weeks ago, Bolton away will be more of a test than Blackburn who do not seem to have the steel they had last year. Lets judge them after the trek to Kiev and then Bolton. I agree we looked shaky defensively especially first half and I am not in love with the Gallas/Toure ...

Hurray!! A thread that is not about transfers. The thing that struck me about the Newcastle game at least first half was the way we pressed high up the pitch for a long period. Much more the sort of style we used when Paddy ruled midfield. Robin van Pyscho was getting stuck into defenders early ...

I don't think I have rose tinted glasses, I just ask those who are so annoyed at Wenger who they would then have as a manager? Buying lots of players doesn't seem to be doing Spuds much good does it? Or getting lots of managers either.
No I'm not happy at the cost of my season ticket but thats the ...

Unfortunately, not all teams will sit back and accept defeat as easily as FC Twente and Newcastle. I think Blackburn away will tell us a lot about whether this team - that Wenger has great faith in - has the metal to mount a serious title challenge.

I remain hopeful, but I have my doubts ...

I can remember a player Wenger bought, a french kid who had gone to Italy and suffered a serious knee injury and hadn't played - oh yeah Patrick Vieira. Wenger has always looked for value. He himself says his biggest regret was in not offering Pires a second year which would have kept him here ...
