Re: Other Matches Thread
The whole point of the new Champions League is to get as many top teams in it as possible.

Likely to be the way for the foreseeable future - or until it is expanded yet further
Top teams? Like Scum???
I suspect that it ...

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
What do we actually need?
Numbers wise for me bare minimum a good no2 GK unless Setford is that highly rated.
Zubimendi CM and another midfielder, left wing and the obvious of a good 9,
Would also add significant funds have to be allocated for MLS, Nwaneri their contracts run out 2026, new deals ...

Out of curiosity Isak joined Newcastle, not the finished article at the time, but we're writing off Sesko cos he's not the finished article.
I'm not advocating for Sesko but where's the difference
Exactly what I was trying to point out.
Well, firstly, having seen both, one moved ...

Be interesting to see what does or doesn't happen.
Experienced respected DOF Berta, not Edu learning on the job or Ayto who will sign names that MA decides to this guy will hopefully work on profile of player and deliver good signings. Not names MA is set on, concentrate on coaching.

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.
Everyone that has even a small clue about the game can see we have needed a striker of quality for years. Arteta to choose to ignore the absolute obvious that a quality forward minimum added to a left winger have been required to give us a real chance to win a title and help take the burden off Saka ...

Re: What Position Will Arsenal Finish This 2024 - 25 Season?
Under MA a LOT of money has been spent, all parts of the team improved bar the forward line and most importantly the striker position.
The best one he had and binned who won him a FA Cup was Auba.
5 years since, his choices/signings Nketiah, Jesus, Havertz, none good enough to help us win a ...

Martinelli LW and Trossard starting CF with Odegaard once again anon, what little we created and in big games it's always marginal was wasted. Trossard forced their GK into a very good save but we couldn't build much pressure with those three for various reasons.

Re: Blue dippers A Sat 5th April KO 1230
If there was VAR in that round of the cup the Havertz penalty would have been (rightly) overturned 100%.
There was VAR there today however to laughably rubber stamp that decision, there was VAR at Wolves to ok MLS getting sent off in a decision so bad the whole football world revolted against it ...

Martinelli travelled with the squad to Manchester, must be close to being at least on the bench today.
Will at least give us a option thats not Sterling.
Be better off playing a kid or someone out of position than him, awful loan signing.

We have needed even a good let alone an elite no.9 for the last two season's minimum. We haven't even got a good one! The games we have lost this season scoring 0 both PL defeats, CL, both legs league cup and only scoring once at home v 10 men for an hour awful MU team. Most of those defeats chances ...

Will always be decisions in games fans won't like but in Europe VAR seems to work way better, faster especially offsides.
The automated system thats still delayed being introduced in the PL  offsides are checked within seconds bar the tightest of calls in CL and Europa, two or three mins PL ...
