We spent 120m in the summer. We are showing intent. I believe we haven't signed anyone because the players we identified are not easy options. Truth is signing good players isn't easy, especially in January. A lot of deals happen on deadline day. Im hoping we can sign either Wijnaldum or Melo, although both appear to be dependent on PSG getting Ndombele or Juventus getting Zakaria.

Im really hoping the deadline day actions happens, but there is part of me that thinks we will get no one. And it wouldnt be for lack of ambition - im positive Edu and Arteta really would have tried. But all the same its a failure if we miss out on top 4
Sorry Wilson but that is pure sophistry, apologies to those who don't like 'big' words

We spent between £120-150 million depending on valuations on 6 players none of whom were truly PL proven and realistically that isn't a vast amount of money in today's climate.

Some of them have worked out well, some not so well. Let's be honest we haven't bought a truly 'big' name since Auba.
100% on the money Muzz. 8)
Arguably that is very deceptive of you GoonerMuzz :D

LA Wiggy Rams have just scored a field point over the bar in the last couple of minutes against San Francisco G*****s in the All American Rugger Bugger semi final. :banghead: Looks like a win. :barscarf:

Even less chance of the Wiggy bastard spending any transfer cash now they're in the final against the Cincinnati Benders in two weeks time! :box: :censored: :cussing: :banghead:

The Wiggy bastards are also playing the final in their home fécking stadium :banghead:

Fécking Wiggy bastard out now! :barscarf:

Morata it is, a poor man’s Giroud! Mind you, he’ll fit our ‘system’ better than PEA.
I just hope we don’t panic buy Isak for 75m, it will be a mistake on an Ozil level! Isak is worth 30m max and will score 10 goals a season….in a good year!!
If there’s a god, we’ll pull a Renato Sanches and an Yves Bissouma out of the hat today, along with a half decent striker.
We can but dream!

Rinse and repeat mate. Over 10 years of this odious c.unt now and here we go again

Remember when we finished within a point of the CL and reached the EL final. The manager wanted Zaha to kick on, and instead the board's gift was fucking Pepe....all because the rumoured 72m was payable over 5 years and because of "resale value". That worked out well didn't it? We would have been back in the CL by now if Emery had been backed properly

In fairness to Arteta he would have had a crack at the top 4 this season given how shit everyone outside the top 3 is.....but much as I can't stand the bloke, I can't blame him if we go into the next four months with one centre forward and a complete lack of proper midfielders

The Kroenkes will forever be the root cause of our longer term woes

Can't look any further than the Kroenke's for this transfer window. Edu finalised a deal for Arthur Melo only for the board to throw it out, making him look an utter twat.

Kroenke has clearly decided that top 4 isn't a priority this season. Someone tell him you don't build a competitive team on the strength of one decent transfer window in ten years.

When Ornstein has nothing to report Arsenal transfer-wise on deadline day, you know we are fucked.

Edu and Arteta have weakened the squad.

I am not having this shite about the kroenke's being entirely responsible for this transfer window fiasco - yes the lack of investment and buying MIGHT be on them (nutty nowhere else did I see it suggested that kroenke's vetoed an agreed deal for melo, so dunno if you are reaching there), but the list of departures is on arteta too. I do not believe for one second that the club would sell a player or loan a player against the manager's wishes - maitland-niles, chambers etc went out of the club with the squad thread bare and I absolutely believe that pep's cone boy is complicit in those decisions. As for expelling auba ........ how many gooners are cheering this decision now ? Goal shy laca and sub standard nketieh are supposed to fire us to top 4 ? Do me a favour  Bring in morata and he'll make a positive difference ? You gotta be having a laff  Never mind cos pep's cone boy looks like a real man now and that is the most important thing :censored: :censored: :censored:
