Augie I don't think you were widely lambasted at all

Most agreed with you. He got a bit better but always flattered to deceive and imo been invisible and a hindrance last 2 seasons at least mostly bar the odd flags of brilliance with a pass or flick or pressing but those moments are exceptions not the norm and he along with the lack of striker are the 2 biggest issues personal wise we have. The striker seems with all the noises issue will attempted to be fixed in summer, I have little faith that the captain and playmaker issue will be at all and this utter milksop will be stinking the place out for years then the once every 15 game but if class has the akbs creaming them solves saying I told you so.

This post was worth reading just for that term alone.

You don't see "milksop" used too often on the OG. :barscarf:

Edited as phone typing. So be a dear and quote the edited one?!

You just know the *word censored* is teachers pet. Leaves arteta an apple on his desk, sucks his cock, yet many think he's some sort of special player. Even when on form he's not a world beater. We are stuck with him I fear. He's a jarred Bowen west ham type level no where near good enough for our supposed ambitions

You know what - I had actually forgotten he is supposed to be captain!!

Arteta must make Declan Rice captain ASAP
Agreed 1,000% But we know he won't because that would mean: Admitting that He (Arteta) got it wrong both in his choice of OhDearGod and also in actually signing him which would mean denting Captain Invisible's ego (and so confidence) and golly gosh we just can't have that can we :? :banghead:

Arteta's "Arrogance" is 100% like TOF's and so we are fucked for at least the next 3 - 5 years because the Krankie's will not sack him as long as the Money keeps rolling in with the (New) plastic Fan Boys / Tourist & Match Day Experience, Half & Half scarf Drum Banging Wannkers are buying the tickets AND the Merchandise... we Sadly are Stuck with the Arrogant Cūnt.

Or to put it another way: Arsenal F C is No Longer Our Club.

Absolutely.

Sometimes I think the augster is a scouser, the amount of posts he starts with "I got lambasted for...." or "everyone slated me for...."

Top marks to Mantis, because "milksop" sums up Odegaard perfectly and without recourse to profanities. Weak and cowardly. I shall now be using the term for our dear captain on a regular basis.

The very fact that Arteta saw fit to make this guy captain is an outrage and an insult to the great men and leaders that have worn the armband. I'm sure it was a Wenger style tactic that Mkll used to help secure his signature and it shows as much respect for the armband as the Old Fraud had post Vieira. Of course, the reason that the likes of egotists like Arteta and Wenger don't value the captaincy and are happy to bestow it upon "milksops", is because they themselves can be the only voice of authority and the idea of a strong leader being given voice in the ranks is anathema to them.

These attitudes are at the root of the failings within the club.
