As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It's a bit juvenile to be honest Tom. I've never met him personally but I am told he is a grumpy git. That doesn't justify what you and your friends did though does it?
I think you should take the higher ground and apologise next time you see him.

I was a moody miserable fucker after the Villa game too! Am I gonna get attacked??!

He's a fucking Arsenal supporter, not done anything to you or said anything bad about the club so what's your problem with him?! He's an actor for a living, so fucking what?! If some bricky was a bit of a miserable old git then would you abuse him in the pub and squirt shit at him when he's never fucking met you??!

I suspect the reason he doesn't do Jonathan Creek is that he makes a good living doing QI!

Proud of attacking a man because you think he's a grumpy bastard?! Kind of thing I expect from the neanderthals up the road :banghead:

i.e. "where's your series gone, where's ur series gone!!"
"oh creeky creeky! you might be a gooner but ur still acunt!"

anyway last night, my cosusins mate ended up squirting mayo in his shaggy hair, and subsequnetly got chased down the road - fuckign funny!!
Tom.

You and your mates were trying to get Alan's attention all night. It was actually his friends who noticed you being pricks, not Alan, who was minding his own business. . You got drunk, you sang your songs, you got ignored because you were being twats.
Then your mate gets up, squirts mayo on Alan, and, in a completely cowardly fashion, scuttles out of the pub with his hands in his pocket like he hadn't done anything.
He was stopped at the door, given a smack upside his head, at which point your extremely courageous mate, looked around, scared, and broke into a quite hilarious run down the street. He wasn't caught up with and kicked to the kerb because frankly he wasn't really worth it after that point.
I take it you are the equally effeminate idiot who came out going "Stop - I've always liked Jonathan Davis" before running after your pal?
And I take it you are the same fella who came up apologising profusely saying "I realise it's not that funny now, I'm really sorry we were drunk"... (just after you put your hands up in a" ooh don't hit me either way") only to come crowing from the safety of your computer, like the immature idiot you clearly are. One of those chaps who is all big and bold after the event?
Whether Alan is a wanker, a grumpy c**t or not, he was minding his business and didn't deserve that kind of behaviour from anyone.
I know all of this because I was "The Mate" you speak of. Hitting anyone is never clever, but when you've ignored all provocation all night and some coward does something like that, then it's inevitable, and, to be honest. as someone else has suggested, I think it all ended pretty tamely, considering what might have happened in most other pubs in the land.
Enjoy your three minutes of self proclaimed notoriety and let's all get back to supporting The Arsenal shall we?

My name is Tayo, not Alan. Someone pointed out to me this thread was in existence so here I am. But I won't protest too much or you'll believe me less than you do already.

T3000.....welcome to the forum.
I think Tom is now aware from the majority of responses on here that he acted a bit like a dick. I hope it doesn't taint your friends view of the majority of his fellow supporters.
On the subject of your friend, can you please ask him if he ever intends on getting into positive figures on QI.

wo wo wo!! calm down everyone - i'll accept it was immature and stupid, but it wasnt me - that doesnt make the incident less inappropriate. it all started as harmless banter (from our perspective) until a couple of my cousins mate turned up clearly very drunk. when the incident happened i had actually left to catch my train back up to cov so i only had my cousin's versions of events.

i think the main point of the story was it was hilarious to us as we had had several to drink, and found the whole song chanting highly amusing. i didnt actually think the guy in question was going to get him with mayo!! in response to t, no i didnt come up and apologise or anything as i ahd left prior to the incident occurring, needless to say i doubt i would have apologised at that stage as i probably would ahve backed up my 'mate' regardless of how stupid he had been. to be honest (and u dont have to believe me) when i heard what had happened and then my cousin told me his mate had been hit, i wasnt surprised, in fact i would ahve doen the same thing in the same situation.

hindsight is a wonderful thing, and whilst i cant really apologise for what happened, i can accept i was jsut as responsibe for anyone else on that table for the whole incident happening: we still found the incident amusing, and yes it was immature ad childish but we all do things we regret from time to time.

creeky just became an easy target and we took it too far. i can accept that and understand that now, and realise that despite him being an actor, there was no real need to continually abuse him. fair play for standing up for him, im not expecting a response or agreement from people, some people will find it funny, some others wont - i can eqaully be a nice person and a wanker: hopefully others who post regularly on this forum will understnad that.
