Turning point

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Absolutely mate. He was incredible.

In that form there's no LB in the world I'd swap him for.

If this team are all arsene makes them out to be,then we will win the premier league.

if we show enough bottle then we can do this.

Well I thought we didn't really have the bottle for a title run in but yesterday has really opened my eyes that this team does have a bit of fight in them. The difference between this and the Birmingham game was all there to see.We got a glimpse of the fighting spirit at the home game against Hull and yesterday for me it was confirmed. The battling on after the horror injury, the huddle at the end and of course the desire to get those late goals.

This for me is a sign. The togetherness of the team was there for all to see. Cesc after scoring the penalty seemed to be saying, " We can do this". Sol look composed at the back.

As one of those that has continually written off our chances of winning the league this season I have to admit that yesterday evening and today I have started to really believe that we can do it  It wasnt the win that convinced me, although the 3pts were crucial, but it was the fighting spirit and unity that I havent seen in an Arsenal team for a few years now. Of course there are still 9 games left and we have to show that spirit for each of every minute of every single one of those games but if we can do that then we have a chance. Personally I could not give a flying fcuk about the champions league cos I just want to win the league to stick it down the throats of every xenophobic/racist manager, player, fan and so called media experts in the country......*word censored*

Stoke was one of three games I was worried about this season - the other two being City at home and Sperz away. The race is back on! :)
I dont like to be critcal of another's opinion as each is entitled to their own but how can you say Almunia played well? When? For the high balls yesterday again he was found wanting and yet again with relatively little to do he concedes! Clichy was quite good yesterday and hopefully he keeps it up.

We have four keepers and none of them are great (although Mannone looks the best of an average bunch) so first priority in the summer should be a new keeper and out Fab and Manuel who have spent more time in the tabloids for their mistakes than Pete Doherty. For now though I have feeling this could be our year...... :barscarf: :barscarf:

Almunia was better than he has been - he's never going to be amazing in fairness. His only mistake was flapping at a punch when it was 1 - 1 (it kinda dropped to the ground about a foot in front of him)

I know "bad" and "sick" mean "good", but does "best" mean "worst" now? Seriously, Mannone looked rubbish, just lucked out massively in the Fulham game. The best one (potentially) is the kid with the unspellable name at Brentford

To be honest I have not seen Szbfasubfasfsafbcbasc who is playing at Brentford but Mannone has potential, his shot stopping is superb (but got caught out in the air against Blackburn). Regardless of young keepers with potential we need to purchase a good fucking keeper and get rid of Almunia and Fab, they have had their chances, too many for my liking. If Richard Wrong can get bombed after one terrible game then these two should have gone last year.

for me clichy is at his best when he is looking to get forward, he might get caught out a couple of times but last two seasons he has not been getting over the half way line, we are at our best when the full backs are getting forward.

throw me in there with the optimistic bunch. i felt something i havent felt in a while as an Arsenal supporter after we scored the third goal at stoke. the way the boys we're celebrating...they wanted it so badly. and then the huddle after the game. they really want to do it this year. i think our team mentality is taking a turn for the better (finally!). so excited about what the rest of the season has to offer and proud to be a gooner!

You read my mind Augie, I have had the same feeling all weekend. When I seen the players form a huddle at the end, the hairs stood up on the back of my neck, and I thought straight away "by fuck we are going to win this fucking thing"
I wouldn't be too upset either if we went out of the clge, cos we won't win that, and a free week in between each lge game is exactly what our ever decreasing squad needs.
The main worry now are these fucking pointless internationals this week, why doesn't Wenger pull every player out of this weeks fixtures?
