Absolutely mate. He was incredible.Dan_85 wrote:The real Clichy was back today, he was awesome.
In that form there's no LB in the world I'd swap him for.
Well I thought we didn't really have the bottle for a title run in but yesterday has really opened my eyes that this team does have a bit of fight in them. The difference between this and the Birmingham game was all there to see.We got a glimpse of the fighting spirit at the home game against Hull and yesterday for me it was confirmed. The battling on after the horror injury, the huddle at the end and of course the desire to get those late goals.Lethal wrote:If this team are all arsene makes them out to be,then we will win the premier league.
if we show enough bottle then we can do this.
thats that thenaugie wrote:As one of those that has continually written off our chances of winning the league this season I have to admit that yesterday evening and today I have started to really believe that we can do it..c**ts

I dont like to be critcal of another's opinion as each is entitled to their own but how can you say Almunia played well? When? For the high balls yesterday again he was found wanting and yet again with relatively little to do he concedes! Clichy was quite good yesterday and hopefully he keeps it up.digger wrote:I've got a good feeling about this season now. Even our poorer performers recently (Clichy, Almunia) played quite well, and we were very mature after Ramsey's unfortunate injury (wishing him the very best). As soon as the game restarted, we were just focussed on winning.
Stoke was one of three games I was worried about this season - the other two being City at home and Sperz away. The race is back on!
Almunia was better than he has been - he's never going to be amazing in fairness. His only mistake was flapping at a punch when it was 1 - 1 (it kinda dropped to the ground about a foot in front of him)Kiki wrote:I dont like to be critcal of another's opinion as each is entitled to their own but how can you say Almunia played well? I know "bad" and "sick" mean "good", but does "best" mean "worst" now?gimp mask wrote:We have four keepers and none of them are great (although Mannone looks the best of an average bunch)
You read my mind Augie, I have had the same feeling all weekend. When I seen the players form a huddle at the end, the hairs stood up on the back of my neck, and I thought straight away "by fuck we are going to win this fucking thing"augie wrote:As one of those that has continually written off our chances of winning the league this season I have to admit that yesterday evening and today I have started to really believe that we can do itIt wasnt the win that convinced me, although the 3pts were crucial, but it was the fighting spirit and unity that I havent seen in an Arsenal team for a few years now. Of course there are still 9 games left and we have to show that spirit for each of every minute of every single one of those games but if we can do that then we have a chance. Personally I could not give a flying fcuk about the champions league cos I just want to win the league to stick it down the throats of every xenophobic/racist manager, player, fan and so called media experts in the country......c**ts
