You are rapidly becoming my hero with this WUMdom, Red. You're replacing the void that Monostich left behindRed Member wrote:Babatunde wrote:Cesc has said it. Vieira has said it. RVP has said it. Even Diaby has said it. The problem, as a few posters have stated, is the complete lack of pressure at Arsenal and the biggest culprits are the fans. The players know they can deliver any half-arsed performance and there's no fear of consequences or a fan backlash.
Same goes for the pathetic manager who's all of a sudden safe in his job for victories against Wigan, Swansea, Norwich and WBA. Like the 8-2 never happened.
Excuses always being made.
In 2006 it was luck.
In 2007 it was injuries.
In 2008 it was youth and Eduardo.
In 2009 it was refs.
In 2010 it was Abramovich.
In 2011 it's been Pat Rice and Nasri
Heading into 2012 the trend is continuing, with Citeh being the latest excuse!
Funny how those same excuse makers not once point the finger where it belongs, at the incompetent overpaid manager. If its as simplistic as money, how does that explain the numerous humblings to Stoke, Brum, WBA, Spuds, Blackburn?! When Basle and Norwich can go to OT and outplay Manure, how are Citeh responsible for an 8-2 drubbing?
If money has ruined football, then Arsenal have been one of the biggest culprits. In 2004 Abramovich spent over £100 mil on players. Arsenal still won the league. It's a pathetic excuse making attitude.
FFS Spuds are competing for the title whilst our fans are bitching about money - whilst maintaining a wage bill over £40 mil higher than Spuds and charging their fans 30% more!!!
Embarrassing
no Spurs are not competing for the title. Stop reading The Sun.![]()
they have beaten us and that is about it this season.
they lost 5-1 at home to Man City
we lost 1-0 away to Man City
stop mentioning the 2-8 it is an irrelevance.
our season is still alive because we sacrificed that match for the CL.
Ignore the worst league defeat in a century....its an irrelevance. Just classic stuff
