Fashanu on TV tonight

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

one is obvious mate? who???
XXXXXX wasnt it? I always thought it was common knowledge
Flash, sorry mate - editted that name out. Lads, PM's for unsubstantiated rumours please. If the player isn't openly out we can't name them here.

And for the record, John Fashanu is a worthless cúnt. Justin was his brother ffs. I personally find male homosexuality a bit sickening tbh. I'm not homophobic and believe in live and let live, but I just don't get what the attraction is... sorry, just my honest personal opinion, and maybe "sickening" is too strong a word, so my apologies if I've offended any of our resident gays.

But if one of my brothers came out, I'd support him totally. He'd still be my brother. 8)

Lets not forget DB10 Justin Fash's problems werent due to just him being homosexual he was accused of 'interfering' with kids at an American school he was coaching at and the reason he was on the run at the time of his death..... Maybe this is why John didnt give a fuck about him :?

Possibly. But surely it's innocent until proven guilty? There were also stories at the time that Justin feared for his life as he was about to out alot of public figures in British society.

On a another note - I had to delete the other Justin Fashanu thread. Don't have the time to go through each post and delete all the players you gobshites outed!

the point imo is that it's hard to have a problem with someone's sexuality - one of my best friends is gay, the lad is totally gay but he acts like a man in the sense that he does not whine, he's not feminine (i mean by that forced high pitch voice, etc), he's a normal bloke, and actually a very nice bloke, who happens to be in love with other men, and it's funny how even people who tend to be homophobic have no problems with him.

i think that what shocks us is to see a person of one sex trying to act like other gender. it's one thing to be a bloke who likes blokes, another to try and be something you were not born as. that's my opinion though, and i have absolutely nothing against any types of gay - not saying this just 'cause i don't wanna be sued or something

homosexuality is indeed common in brazil - not just a typo - and therefore we are learning a lot to deal with it. let's not be hypocritical, homosexuality exists since mankind started so being "against it" like the catholic church makes no sense at all. let's just learn to live with it and be respectful.

hope i didn't touch too much a complicated subject here, feel free to delete the post if you think i did 8)

erm... as you quoted me I take it you were addressing that comment to me? Believe me mate I'm about as lapsed a Catholic as they get!

No it's just a personal thing. We have an openly gay guy in work and one of my neighbours is openly gay and I have no problem with them at all, they are very nice people and if some homophobe scumbag attacked them in the street I'd defend them no questions asked.

I just don't understand it tbh and find it a bit repulsive. Doesn't mean I think less of them as people or anything. It's like someone straight being into S&M (like Hlebby for example  ). I like the guy and respect him as a person but I would just find his sexuality a bit off.

no mate, absolutely not. i didn't even remember you were catholic, i just threw that on my post as catholics are the majority in brazil (and most european countries i would guess) so if a majority in your country believes in a religion that condemns one type of people, those people will obviously suffer prejudice - which is a terrible thing.

just like the catholic church had to (grudgingly) admit that the earth spins around the sun and that it IS older than 6000 years  i would love to see it reconsider it's concepts and rethink the homosexuality and safe sex issues, as it is necessary for modern society.

i do understand though that that happening is as probable as arsène wenger spending 25 million pounds on a top class footballer.
