I'm not homophobic and believe in live and let live, but I just don't get what the attraction is... sorry, just my honest personal opinion, and maybe "sickening" is too strong a word, so my apologies if I've offended any of our resident gays.
But if one of my brothers came out, I'd support him totally. He'd still be my brother.

the point imo is that it's hard to have a problem with someone's sexuality - one of my best friends is gay, the lad is totally gay but he acts like a man in the sense that he does not whine, he's not feminine (i mean by that forced high pitch voice, etc), he's a normal bloke, and actually a very nice bloke, who happens to be in love with other men, and it's funny how even people who tend to be homophobic have no problems with him.
i think that what shocks us is to see a person of one sex trying to act like other gender. it's one thing to be a bloke who likes blokes, another to try and be something you were not born as. that's my opinion though, and i have absolutely nothing against any types of gay - not saying this just 'cause i don't wanna be sued or something
homosexuality is indeed common in brazil - not just a typo - and therefore we are learning a lot to deal with it. let's not be hypocritical, homosexuality exists since mankind started so being "against it" like the catholic church makes no sense at all. let's just learn to live with it and be respectful.
hope i didn't touch too much a complicated subject here, feel free to delete the post if you think i did
