More a case of needing someone to tell him he's no Henry and to just stay the hell in the last third of the pitch, but onside please. His control and touch are atrocious most of the time. I did think he was a fairly decent player last season, working hard as pointed out. But it really does seem to ...

Yes I agree that it has been strange to watch players out of position, but with the squad at his disposal, I guess Wenger really has been forced into it. He does not trust the kids enough and cannot admit that the likes of Song and Bendtner are not good enough.

we should have buried them. what is it with our decision making when in good positions? I think it is immaturity, especially in adebayor, eboue and to a lesser extent diaby. we make the wrong choice too often. passing when we should shoot, shooting when an extra pass or extra step, or split second ...

Eboue is a liability
Yet again our fragile defence looked schoolboyish in their handling of bolton's goal. Eboue went walkabout - ballwatching probably. And when the goal went in, both he and Toure raised their hands to protest I don't know what. Probably their own embarrassment at their own ineptitude at basic ...

Newcastle v Arsenal
More points dropped but this time, we could not say it was undeserved. Newcastle were negative concentrating on snapping at our ankles in midfield but rarely throwing men forward.

This was unbelievable. We had something like 30 shots and the Hammers, who maybe had one when it mattered. The rest came late in the game when we were desperately pushing forward so they don't really count.

I would give baptista until the end of the season to show that the carling cup game wasn't a one-off. I would not want to start next season still wondering. He does not need to show us that he is the finished article or the answer but by god he ought to show some improvement.

Actually I think it's not quite fair to say the only one who tried was Fabregas or Adebayor. Think they all did (except maybe Lehman and Eboue who sometimes look as if they are just spoiling for fights) but it just isn't working out. The difference between success and games like yesterday is a fine ...

Liverpool v Arsenal
I wish I could be optimistic in defeat, even one as comprehensive as this. Truth is, Liverpool did not even have to really step up their game to beat us. A cutting edge in attack saw to that. We were poor, though we did come close on a few occasions, hitting the posts twice through Adebayor. What ...

Baptista's substitution
Did anyone catch the strange exchange between Wenger and Baptista as the latter was subbed at Villa Park? It seemed that Baptista was not too happy at being pulled off, and asked Wenger about it. Wenger seemed to suggest that he thought Baptista was injured, and Baptista seemed surprised and ...
