thats it. confidence. this time they have themselves to thank for it, no Thierry to live up to. After RVP's special volley goal at CA, noticed Henry coming over to give him the big 'thats my boy' routine afterwards, and it seemed R didn't really want to hear it. You see TH shrugging after he leaves ...

Seville is going to mean alot. If we beat them, we can be successful. Confidence levels considered, it is going to be a tough game..

Keep for sure. Just been reading some of the transcript of the Hill Wood interview with Wenger and he says there was kitty left and Arsene wasn't interested.

Its not about the money. Gilberto's experience counts for alot. When I heard Gallas was new captain I thought the bell was tolling..Still can ...

Merida

I've just watched the second half & ET of the u-17 final, Spain vs Nigeria. The Nigerians won it 3-0 on pens. Although our boy Merida scuffed his pen, (!) he looked quality the whole game, made some excellent passes, touches and had a few shots on goal. He's like Fab but more attack minded.

Now ...

we discussed this a while back, can't remember who said it first! 4-3-3
The 3 you mentioned, with Rosicky, RVP & Ade or Dudu, Nick & Theo, I think having Dudu & Theo as winger/strikers works well, dragging players out of position, the rest running through on goal.

4 Gael, Willy, Kolo & Sagnal Gael ...

I'm a little surprised, cos I thought Diaby was for this spot. But then its all about having quality available to cover Fab's spot should need be, and he will also be great cover when Kolo & Manu go home to win the African Nations. Nice one Arsene! We do have depth now, and I'm happier.. Don't think ...

I would like to see him stay, just as extra back up, and for the youngsters this year. He's got passion. I didn't even hold it against him when he did the cK ads. There was rumours he was gay at the time, and I couldn't give a shit.

And now he's said he wouldn't play for anyone else in the PL he's ...

I forget who suggested it first on a previous thread - but I think Eduardo will be played on the left wing. Coming inside and nicking goals. Think it will be Martins.. I know thats not exactly stop press news! But think Le boss needs to back up RVP & Ade as if they both got injured it would be a lot ...

what about young Fran Merida? I assume there's no room for him in the first team due to Cesc? But maybe to sub Cesc and keep him fresh? Any ideas how he's getting on?

Glad to see you've found a little compromise fellas. Can see Augies point about experience, but Fab, RVP, Kolo have all seen a few seasons now. And adding Gallas for experience didnt do too much. Still think we can do much better than last season, just need some luck. & Adebayor will be better this ...

Belfast Boy - if I ever meet you your bar tab's on me!

all this 4th place talk, remember that our two best strikers were out for ages. We could've been alot close to Chelski without this. And we scared the shit out of them in Cardiff. I think we could have gone on, but le boss's subs were wrong ...

Sagna and..

Theory - If Sagna is coming, and Eboue can't defend, maybe Eboue is going to become the right mid? What you reckon? I know he can cross a ball, but not quite so sure about running at people..

quality granted, but pretty small and light weight, smaller than Bobby? Think he would fit in the EPL if the beast couldn't? Not sure ya know..would take him, but think it would take a while to pay off. Be nice for the CL for sure..

Think Anelka is the man, and the more I think about it, the better ...

nah. and hes too small. I want another imposing person, Defoe can't hold the ball up. Adebayor's the only option there, Robin and I think Bendter are average size. And re the idiot opinion - it was Defoe who bit someone on the arm in a match was it not? Would be nice to have an English player though ...
