Interesting debate. I can see why some fans leave early, wish they didn't but accept that's life for many of our current fans especially at home games. Perhaps I don't hate Spurs enough because I didn't find it too difficult to stay to the end and wait to applaud the three players who came over to ...

I was with the travelling Gooners in the upper tier of the South Stand. Just for the record I didn't hear anything anti-semitic being sung.

Sure there may have been a few idiots shouting racist comments out of ear shot or in the lower tier section but not the people round me.

Fairly recently the Club made an announcement about the number of members. The details were something like:

43,000 Gold members
22,000 Silver members
61,000 Red members
22,000 Junior Gunners

Plus 38,000 on the season ticket waiting list.

I think that you have to accept that our fan base is now ...

I have started calling the place New Highbury. I won't use the E word and Ashburton Grove sounds like a recycling centre as of course it once was.

No doubt I am going to be accused of treason here but I hate the "Good Old Arsenal" anthem. I sing it but every time I do I can't stop thinking what a rubbish song it is and that for as long as I can remember it has always been a rubbish song. If I have to choose between a Jimmy Hill lyric and an ...

Football clubs have always been owned by rich bussinessmen who have very little in common with the average fan. Please don't get all sentimental about David Dein - if he was so good on the football side why didn't he go into football management? The manager and the players are the people who win ...

I know Adebayor didn't have his greatest game on Tuesday night but it did remind me how good Anelka's first touch was. One of the things that really frustates a fan is when a player wastes a good opportunity just as it starts because he can't control the ball. At least with Anelka if someone passed ...

I think it would be a mistake to portray Dein as some kind of knight in shining armour. He did some good things for us but he also used the Club to further his ambitions within football. In the process he took a hefty salary. The new power base is Fizman/Edelman and it has been for a while. Who ...

I am glad Dein is gone. I thank him for Arsene Wenger but I will never forgive him for making us play our Champions League games at Wembley. Greed killed off three good chances of winning the competition.

I have never really understood all the fuss about Holloway Road tube being shut after the game. It is on the Piccadilly line and so even if it was open the trains going south would already be full from the fans using Arsenal Tube. For trains going north you would just move the queue from Arsenal ...

Good point GoonerMC but it would be really depressing if ticket allocation was determined by how much we spend following Arsenal.

Carling Cup Final Tickets

This is a one of those no win situations and I do feel a lot of sympathy for the Red Member who can't apply.

Just ask yourself why it is that a Red Member has been able to go to so many away games? You know the answer - it is because only a relatively small number of our 44,000 Gold Members and who ...
