Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.
We can only move forward as a club with a new manager. You just know Allegri/Pochettino is waiting for us or Man United to call. So why not beat Man United to it and have the first pick. Allegri should be choice and even without new signings, he would get more out of this lot of players than Mikel. ...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.
''We’ve been better than the opponent every single week but we are not winning football matches'' Arteta has entered into denial and once that happens there is no way back. He also mentioned Everton's goals were an own goal and set piece, again trying to rationalize defeat. He further complained abo...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.
Ive been reading some newspapers shortlist on new managers and Henry and Vieira are on many of them. Neither Paddy or Thierry are serious managers. Its a joke to consider them
This club needs to start tasking itself seriously.

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.
Its time to get serious. Because if we do not string some wins together we will literally find ourselves living uncomfortable just above the relegation zone. Our 15th league position is not some anomaly. This isnt 5 games into the season which if you start slow can give you a false reading. 12 games...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.
The next manager needs to have a reputation for organizing and being tactical. For too long know we have just been a team that likes to play the game and pass the ball around. I will never forget the red pill moment I had when listening to Jose say the team with the ball is most vulnerable. The team...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.
There is a mentality that exits in our club where the idea is the club and fans owe time, chances and opportunity to the players and manager. It really should be the other way around. The manager and players need to be in debt to Arsenal. Arteta shouldn't be relaxed as he feels he is entitled to an ...

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.
The goodwill earned by winning the FA Cup has worn off. There needs to be some transaction in the league if Arteta is to remain. I dont believe in this idea that if you are patient results will come. When that happens its just a natural reversion to the mean - the more games you lose the closer you ...

The great players make a difference when it matters.
FA Cup semi final and Final. PEA 2 Man City 0. PEA 2 Chelsea 1. He won us the FA Cup.

I was scathing of the Arteta appointment, but I will admit I have been humbled. He deserves backing and support from club and fans.

Re: Chavski *word censored* Fa cup final Sat 1st Aug KO 1730
PEA will be a legend if he stays out his career with us. Although even if he does leave, im only wishing him well. We beat City and Chelsea back to back to win the FA Cup and of course it was an PEA brace in each game. He literally was the difference in winning this competition

Arsenal -1 was paying 12 to 1 on betfair. You can put up a tenner and win 120 back if Arsenal win by 2 goals, which was not unrealistic . 120 AUD in the bank!!
Now we are 14 to 1 to win the fa cup.
I know we are out favour, but there are some generous odds offered on Arsenal matches these days.

Re: CoronaVirus Latest
Was watching a news segment on the Liverpool celebrations last night, and when a fan was asked about the nonexistence of social distancing, this guy with a straight face said this is a historical moment and its too importance to let pass without celebrating. That just left be stunned. Liverpool fans...

Re: CoronaVirus Latest
Rugby League and cricket matches here in Aus are simply being played with closed stadiums. I really dont see any reason why the same couldnt apply with the PL. We could build a glass box for Arteta stand in and manage from the sidelines. The Liverpool haters must enjoy the fact their moment will be ...
