Yeah that was in the 96/97 season and if I recall correctly, the week after man utd were beat 6-3 by southampton and still won the title.
I guess this shows that its not all doom and gloom especially as it wasn't are full strength squad and it was only the league cup.

The more worrying thing for me ...

I do think this is getting slightly getting blown out of hand. Yes it was embarrasing and shouldn't have happened but it was nowhere near as bad as the David Batty and Graem Le Saux incident or even the Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer one.

Disagreements and arguments happen in football, I'd be more ...

When are people gonna realise that Theo is not gonna make the grade at arsenal. I am one of his biggest supporters and would love him to do well but my faith in him is slowly diminishing.
For me his workrate is not good enough and his footballing brain is too slow. He's a good sub to have but hasn't ...

I think its a joke that after one poor game as captain anyone can start to doubt gallas' ability to lead the team. The guy has been brilliant all season...what more do u want from him?! Is he expected to score 5 goals every game?! Should we instead put him in goal where he will not concede a single ...

I have to agree with Gasman. Although I was not at the game I was watching it on Sky Sports and after the 3rd goal I just couldn't take it anymore and had to switch over. I turned my phone off and proceded to watch 24 for the rest of the night.
That was nothing to do with me not being a true ...

This is all BULLSHIT. Just when we were startin to get over the loss of Henry and all the talk about takeover bids from Satan this crap comes up.

I don't doubt for one second that DD is a true fan but his motives are questionable and I do not want us for one second to end up like chavski. I ...

I honestly can't see him buying anyone now and if he did, it'l probably be some 15 year old from argentina who no-one has heard of but is being tipped to be the next maradona even though he couldn't play for us for the next 5 years as he won't be eligible for a visa, so we'll end up loaning him out ...

As much as I would love us to win it, I have my doubts. We do have a strong squad but I still think we lack that killer instinct to finish off the smaller teams that we would normally be expected to beat. We see it every year in the group stages and we saw it all last season in the league. The start ...
